  • Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was left infuriated after a fan nearly injured his player
  • A fan somehow managed to evade security before colliding with Andy Robertson
  • It was the only negative thing that happened on an evening where Liverpool tore Manchester United apart

Jurgen Klopp was visibly incensed after a fan evaded security and injured his defender Andy Robertson during a Premier League match at Anfield.

The incident happened on March 5th when Liverpool welcomed Manchester United for a crunch tie that ended up being one-sided.

Liverpool tore apart their North West rivals by putting seven goals past them to continue with their mini revival after struggles at the start of the season.

The Red's emphatic performance was nearly punctuated by a fan who invaded the pitch, nearly injuring Robertson during a goal celebration. Roberto Firmino scored Liverpool's seventh and as the players celebrated in one corner flag, a fan collided with Robertson.

Injury fears

There were concerned looks as Robertson sat on the ground for a few seconds before he stood up and carried on. The Scot luckily suffered no lasting damage as he completed the full 90 minutes.

As Daily Express reports, Klopp was furious with the fan and made his feelings clear as he was dragged away by security.

It was the only downside of the evening as Klopp saw his three forwards each bag braces to take them within touching distance of the top four.

Fernandes appears to ask for substitution

In a different set of events in the same match, Sports Brief reported that Bruno Fernandes was part of a strong Manchester United team named by Erik ten Hag to take on rivals Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, March 5. However, the Portuguese midfield playmaker was unable to have an impact during the Premier League cracker as Liverpool mauled United 7-0.

Darwin Nunez, and Cody Gakpo were Liverpool's match heroes as they netted a brace apiece to put the Red Devils to the sword.

The second half of the match saw Fernandes lose his cool, with the midfielder making petulant challenges, arguing with officials and losing possession.
