  • The story of Mohamed Salah and Dejan Lovren is one of the most beautiful friendship stories in football
  • The duo became close while Lovren was at Liverpool and have kept the relationship going despite Lovren moving miles away to Russia
  • The centre-back has shared a video of his morning routine that shows just how much he is obsessed with the 'Egyptian King'

Mohamed Salah and Dejan Lovren struck a beautiful friendship during the latter's time at Liverpool.

The 'bromance' seemingly continued even after Lovren left the club, with the defender now uploading a beautiful video on his social media platforms.

The Zenit St Petersburg defender shared his morning routine with pictures of Salah everywhere. In the video spotted by Sports Brief, Lovren wakes up and steps from his bed with a duvet and pillow with Salah's pictures imprinted on them.

Seconds earlier, he had been woken up by an alarm clock on his tablet whose wallpaper is a picture of both of them.

Salah's pictures are almost everywhere

After spreading the bed, he puts on sandals with Salah's pictures. A Salah banner is hung just above the bed. It is the famous picture of the Egyptian at Anfield, where he took off his shirt after scoring against Manchester United in the last minute from a beautiful Alisson Becker assist.

Lovren walks over to the banner and compares his physique with Salah's before walking to the closet, where he puts on a shirt that has, you guessed right, Salah's picture.

The 33-year-old centre-back proceeds to make coffee. The coffee mug has a picture of the duo during their time at Liverpool. The two won the Premier League and the Champions League together.

While Salah's Egypt failed to qualify for the World Cup, Lovren will be heading to Qatar after being called up by Croatia.

Full Croatia squad

Sports Brief had earlier reported that Croatia would be looking to go one better at this year’s World Cup tournament.

The European side, captained by Real Madrid’s Luka Modrić, fell short in the 2018 final.

Croatia were beaten by France 4-2 and surprised many people by making it to the final. Luka Modrić’s men will now be looking to shock the world again and take honours in Qatar.
