Jurgen Klopp has responded to suggestions in the football circles that Liverpool are 'finished'.

The Reds have endured a bumpy start to the new season, with the English giants currently struggling for form and consistency.

The result left them sitting ninth in the standings, a massive 15 points behind league leaders Arsenal.

Liverpool's poor run of form has since sparked suggestions that they are at the end of their cycle, after dominating the football scene in recent years.

Jurgen Klopp responds to criticism

Klopp has come out to brush off those claims however, with the German tactician insisting it is far too early to judge whether the current crop of players has come to the end of its cycle.

Speaking ahead of his side's Champions League clash against Napoli, Klopp vowed to give everything to turn their fortunes around.

"I think the judgement for this will be later on in the season," the Liverpool boss said via Metro UK. "But in the moment, it’s not 100 per cent fair to judge the team – and that means the squad, obviously."

Klopp rates Liverpool's top four chances

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Jurgen Klopp has opened up about Liverpool's top four chances, following their latest defeat at the hands of Leeds United.

Klopp has now hinted that the Merseysiders are in danger of not playing in the Champions League next season due to their inconsistencies.

Liverpool will be hoping to make amends for their latest loss when they face Tottenham in their next Premier League outing.
