Mohamed Salah and Kostas Tsimikas were among several Liverpool players filmed surprising supporters around the city on Thursday, August 18.

Salah, who is renowned for his philanthropic works, was paired with Greek full-back Tsimikas as several Liverpool players went on outreach, surprising fans in and around the city with gifts.

In a video posted on Twitter, sighted by Sports Brief, the duo went out and about in the city of Liverpool.

Tsimikas knocked on a fan's door at their home, greeting them while introducing the Egyptian forward before handing over the gift, reports Liverpool Echo.

Jurgen Klopp would hope this touching gesture of philanthropy will serve as a good omen ahead of their clash with Manchester United.

Both clubs are yet to pick a win in the ongoing 2022-23 Premier League with Liverpool sharing the spoils in their opening two games against Fulham (2-2) and Crystal Palace (1-1).

While Man United on the other side of the divide have stumbled to humbling defeats at the hands of Brighton and Hove Albion (2-1) and Brentford (4-0).

Mo Salah donates lump sum to rebuild Egyptian church destroyed by a deadly fire

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Mohamed Salah has reportedly made lump sum donations to help rebuild a church destroyed by a deadly fire in his native Egypt.

Salah, who has been ranked by UK newspaper, The Sunday Times as the eighth most charitable person in Britain, is renowned for his philanthropic gestures.

The Liverpool talisman earlier took to Twitter to express his condolences to the victims of the St. Abu-Seifein Church fire outbreak and has gone a step further to donate three million Egyptian pounds which equates to $156,648.56.
