  • The monumental artwork – created by local artist John Culshaw – has been erected on Anfield Road, opposite the King Harry pub to pay tribute to Mo Salah
  • The mural features two of Mohamed Salah's iconic celebrations from the Egyptian’s Liverpool career to date
  • He recently inspired Liverpool to their first Community Shield since 2006 when the Reds beat Man City 3-1 on Sunday

Since joining Liverpool in 2017, Mohamed Salah has endeared himself to the Anfield club as a bona fide legend.

The Egyptian King has grown in leaps and bounds under the tutelage of Jurgen Klopp, guiding the Reds to a plethora of trophies within his five-year running spell at Merseyside.

He recently found the back of the net as Liverpool ended their Community Shield jinx with a 3-1 victory over Manchester City at Leicester City's King Power Stadium.

Salah holds the enviable record as the highest-scoring African in the Premier League and will go down in the competition's history as one of the best forwards.

But it's in Merseyside that the 30-year-old has been immortalized. A large mural paying tribute to Mohamed Salah was unveiled near Anfield earlier this year.

Mo has not been to the site since its unveiling but took time out of his schedule to pay a visit to the large mural before heading to social media to react with a blushing emoji.

Chelsea honour new signing Raheem Sterling with aesthetically-pleasing mural

Meanwhile, Chelsea have unveiled a mural of Raheem Sterling at Stamford Bridge, barely two weeks after the English forward joined them from Man City.

Sterling sealed a sensational switch to Chelsea earlier this month in a £ 50 million deal to become the Blues' first signing of the summer.

However, his new club have wasted no time proving how much he means to them after they unveiled a mural of him at Stamford Bridge ahead of the new season.

Five top records held by Mo Salah

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Mohamed Salah has grown to be one of the best-ever players that the Premier League has ever seen.

After a failed stint with Chelsea, Salah went to AS Roma to make something out of his career. He was then bought by Liverpool and has gone on to break record after record.

Salah recently surpassed Didier Drogba's record of 104 goals in English's top flight. Drogba shone during his time at Chelsea but Salah eclipsed that record on his way to winning last season's Golden Boot.
