Japanese attacking midfielder Takumi Minamino has left Premier League giants Liverpool and has completed a four-year permanent move to French Ligue 1 side Monaco.

In January 2022, Liverpool signed Takumi from Red Bull Salzburg after impressing in the Champions League game against the Red which made the Anfield landlords to sign him.

But Takumi Minamino was unable to impress at Anfield for Liverpool and was only able to start five games in just 30 Premier League appearances.

According to the report on Sky Sports, Takumi Minamino expressed happiness over his move to Monaco claiming that he is ready to prove himself at the French side.

Takumu Minamino's reaction about Monaco move

"It's a great joy for me to join AS Monaco. I am happy to be part of the club's project, which has just finished on the podium (third) twice in a row and is one of the most recognized in an exciting championship.
"I can't wait to discover my new environment and do everything possible to help the team."
