  • Liverpool are said to be willing to let Naby Keita leave in exchange of Inter Milan's star midfielder Nicolo Barella
  • Head coach Jurgen Klopp is understood to be a big admirer of the former Cagliari player who is now capped over 35 times by the Italian national team
  • His asking price will be huge and given that Liverpool have already spent on Darwin Nunez, it will be difficult to sanction an outright move

Jurgen Klopp is ready to go all-in and sign Nicolo Barella from Inter Milan. Klopp wants to improve his midfield as he prepares for another battle with Manchester City for the Premier League title.

Barella is already a star and has shown strong signs since his debut and Liverpool know he won't come easy.

It is understood that the Italian side have slapped a 77 million euros price tag on Barella. Liverpool are not ready to spend that amount and as Daily Express reports, they are ready to add Naby Keita to the deal.

Barella was one of the key members of the Inter Milan's side that won the Serie under Antonio Conte. He will be a welcome addition to a side that has often been blamed of lacking creativity in the midfield area.

At 25 years of age, Barella can have a long-term future at Anfield, especially with current regulars skipper Jordan Henderson and Thiago Alacantara already in their thirties.

Calcio Mercato reports that Jurgen Klopp is incensed by Barella's abilities but Liverpool's chiefs cannot meet the asking price. The Reds have already spent an unusual amount of money by signing Darwin Nunez from Benfica.

The other viable option will be to allow Guinea international Naby Keita to go the other way. Keita has failed to nab down a spot in the starting XI, often being hampered by injuries.

Liverpool complete signing of Calvin Ramsay

At the same time, Sports Brief reported that Liverpool have announced the signing of Aberdeen youngster Calvin Ramsay.

Ramsey now becomes the Reds' third signing of the summer having already signed Darwin Nunez from Benfica and Fabio Carvalho who arrived on a free transfer from Fulham.

Ramsay made 39 senior appearances for Scottish giants, scoring once and bagging nine assists.
