Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson provided a hilarious response when he was asked if he watches games involving Premier League leaders Manchester City.

Henderson and his Liverpool teammates have managed to claw back a 14-point gap in January to a solitary point, sending the Premier League title race to the final day.

The Reds defeated Southampton 2-1 at the St Mary's Stadium on Tuesday evening to ensure there will be a photo finish in the Premier League title chase.

Speaking about the intense battle with the Blues, Henderson told Sky Sports as quoted by Sports Bible: "It is always tough, City never seem to drop points. They are a fantastic team."
Asked by Jamie Carragher if he or any of his Liverpool teammates watch Pep Guardiola's side, he replied: "I don’t, normally.
"I know some of the lads do now and again, and at home they probably do, the way they play it is never nice to watch."
He also added: "I put the kids channel on or something, that is probably something better to watch."

Liverpool trail Man City by one point heading into their final game of the season against Wolves.

Jordan Henderson wants Aston Villa boss Steven Gerard to do Liverpool a favour

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Jordan Henderson was delighted that Liverpool have taken the Premier League title race to the last day of the season.

The Reds fought back from a goal down to earn a 2-1 victory over Southampton on Tuesday night, leaving them just one point behind league leaders Manchester City heading into the final matchday of the season.

It means the Reds need to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers and hope Aston Villa can get a result against City at the Etihad Stadium to finish the season top of the pile.
