Mohammed Salah has transformed into one of the most prolific forwards in the world, and to say he is among the top five best players at the moment would be an understatement.

The 29-year old has been instrumental for Liverpool in recent seasons, and it would be hard to imagine the Reds’ recent success without the Egyptian.

Currently Salah is part of a potent Liverpool side who are on the hunt for a coveted quadruple of the Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup and the Carabao Cup, which is already in the Liverpool trophy cabinet.

So what makes Salah such a formidable force to reckon with?

As it turns out, the Egyptian’s form and football prowess is not by luck, and he has had to work extremely hard for his success.

Part of the work he has had to put in has been sticking to a strict diet and an extremely disciplined exercise plan.

The Sun highlighted Salah’s diet plan, which the Egyptian brilliantly broke down in an interview with CNN.

"Nutrition is so important, it's part of the game.
"It has helped with my recovery, allowed me to sleep better and helped my body adapt quickly.
"My nutritionist says that because I don't have any fat on my body, I can eat what I want. I also don't drink so it's fine."

Just like Cristiano Ronaldo, Salah is very conscious of what he puts into his body.

An Egyptian delicacy known as kushari –a dish made from rice, macaroni and lentils.

"When I go back to Egypt, I call my friend from the airport to buy kushari for us to eat in the car.” Salah went on.

Coupled with his strict diet plan is Salah’s obsession with training.

Aside from Liverpool training, Salah also engages in addition regimes including weight training, bodyweight work, plyometrics, yoga, swimming and stretching exercises.

During the Ramadan month, Salah still prioritized the gym as he continued to lift weights at his home facility.

Salah’s warning to Real Madrid

Ahead of the Champions League final on May 28, Salah sent out an interesting message to Real Madrid.

The final will be a repeat of the 2018 final where Real Madrid bettered Liverpool to win their 13th title. The game is etched in Salah’s memory as he had to be withdrawn in the first half after picking up a shoulder injury.
