Liverpool have multiple Muslim senior players, including Mane, Mohamed Salah, Ibrahima Konate and Naby Keita.

And according to Mane, Liverpool had to change their training timetable after club captain Jordan Henderson spoke to Jurgen Klopp on behalf of those players and the manager agreed to move training sessions from the afternoon to the morning.

"Playing and training while doing Ramadan is not easy," Mane told beIN SPORTS.
But Liverpool make it easier for us. Before Ramadan, we spoke with the captain and the coach to see if we could change the schedule to train in the morning. And he said yes. We appreciate it."

Mane was in action for the Reds as they recorded a 2-0 win over Villarreal in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinal clash.

The Senegalese scored for Jurgen Klopp's side but was subbed off in the 73rd minute.

Mohamed Salah and Ibrahima Konate played the full match, while Naby Keita made a 20-minute cameo in the second half after replacing Henderson.
