Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is leading the hunt for this season's Golden Boot in the Premier League.

The Egyptian forward has been in sensational form this term for the Reds despite enduring a slow down in recent weeks.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane clinched the award last term with 23 goals to his name, narrowly beating Salah to the gong.

However, Salah has shown a clear intent to cart home the prize this season having already scored 20 goals with seven games left to end the campaign.

Salah faces stiff competition for the Golden Boot award

The Liverpool ace is facing stiff competition for the Golden Boot from the league's top marksmen, with Spurs star Heung-Min Son hot on his heels.

Heung-Min is sitting second on the goalscorers charts with 17 goals to his name.

Liverpool's Diogo Jota sits third with 15 goals, two ahead of fellow teammate Sadio Mane who has 13.

Despite Man United's poor season, Cristiano Ronaldo has been the club's shining light this season, with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner completing the top five podium of the goalscorers standings with 12 goals.
