Egypt will be hoping to avenge the Africa Cup of Nations final defeat by beating Senegal and qualifying for the World Cup in Qatar later this year.

The Pharaohs will host Senegal in the first leg in Cairo on Friday before travelling to Dakar for the second leg four days later.

Liverpool manager explains decision to bench Salah and Mane

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says he had to rest his African stars, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané to avoid being misunderstood.

Klopp had earlier being criticized for sharing his thoughts about the Africa Cup of Nations, which he feels was wrongly captured.

However, with Egypt and Senegal set to clash again this week in the World Cup play-off, the German trainer decided to bench the duo for the FA Cup game against Nottingham Forest.

Senegal stars arrive in Marrakech ahead of Egypt clash

Players of the Senegalese national football team arrived in Marrakech like champions en-route to Cairo for their World Cup play-off against Egypt.

A batch of ten players including Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy and Bayern Munich's Bouna Sarr touched down in the Moroccan city on Sunday.

The rest of the team are expected to arrive on Tuesday before the team continues it's journey to Egypt for the big game.
