Liverpool set to reward Divock Origi after shining in Champions League

Premier League side, Liverpool, are keen to tie up Divock Origi on a long term deal after impressing in the 2018/19 season.

The club's recruitment team is reportedly keen to have Origi commit his future to the Reds following the forward's heroic performances in the Champions League.

According to a UK Mirror report, Jurgen Klopp has already exuded faith in the Belgian star who produced vital goals in the second half of the season.

He proved his spectacular goalscoring skills when he netted a stunning brace against Barcelona in the Champions League semis to book Liverpool a place in the competition's finals.

The 24-year-old went on to have his name on the score sheet against Tottenham in the finals as his side claimed the European title following a 2-0 victory.

His attitude and strike rate are now said to have earned him a place in Jurgen Klopp's plans for the club next season.

Klopp is reportedly persuaded Origi can play a crucial role in his pursuit to compete for titles again in the next campaign.

The former Liverpool U-23 forward has only a year left on his current deal with the Reds.
