Fans of Leicester City are unhappy with the performance of Ghana defender Daniel Amartey following their defeat to Newcastle United on Boxing Day.

Amartey conceded a penalty just a minute into the game after a poor tackle in the box on Newcastle forward Joelinton.

Chris Wood smashed home from the spot to hand the visitors the lead at the King Power Stadium. The Foxes failed to recover as they ended up losing 3-0 at home.

Miguel Almiron doubled the lead four minutes later before Joelinton completed a first half dominance with Newcastle's third in the 32nd minute.

Amartey arrive for Ghana friendly

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana coach Otto Addo has his full squad for the international friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua this week following the arrivals of Daniel Amartey and Mohammed Salisu.

The English Premier League duo touched down in France on Tuesday and immediately joined the rest of their teammates for training.

Leicester's Daniel Amartey and Southampton's Mohammed Salisu are expected to start in the friendly against Brazil in Le Havre on Friday.
