Juventus registered a 3-1 win over Lazio in the Serie A on Saturday night, March 6, in what will remain as one of the classic topflight matches in Italy.

It was Lazio who started the game on a high as they began to ask questions in the early stages before they were rewarded with the opening goal in the 15th minute.

Dejan Kulusevski was pressured into trying to pass back to Merih Demiral, only for Joaquin Correa to intercept the ball, run at the defender before turning and shooting through the Turkish international’s legs.

The Old Lady who were without Ronaldo from the start then raised their game and they eventually restored parity in the 39th minute through Adrien Rabiot. 1-1.

The second-half of the fixture started on a high as both teams took it to each other before Federico Chiesa capitalised on a counter-attack and run almost the entire length of the pitch to play in Alvaro Morata, whose left footed effort was blasted past the keeper. 2-1.

Aaron Ramsey was later brought down inside the box and Morata was handed the chance to put Juve 3-1 up from the penalty spot, and he didn’t waste that chance.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Arthur and Weston McKennie were then brought on by manager Pirlo as they looked to control the game and seal the three points.

Lazio did have a flurry of chances in the final 15 minutes, but they didn’t do enough to ripple the net for a second time, and the best team will be happy with their impressive performance.

It ended Juventus 3-1 Lazio.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Ronaldo has been in sparkling form for Juventus this season leading the Serie A scorers’ chart with 20 goals in 21 matches in the Italian topflight.

The Portuguese superstar was rested for a number of matches in the past couple of seasons, but at 36, he continues to find the back of the net with ease.

Quite a number of Juventus players are out of action due to injury or the other and club manager says Ronaldo won’t be rested for now.

He was on target against in Juventus' 3-0 win over Spezia earlier although the defending league champions sit 7 points behind league leaders Inter Milan.
