This is the opinion of SuperSport pundit and the Premier Soccer League's newly-appointed general manager, Andile 'VAR' Ncobo, who said on Extra Time:

"One thing that incenses me is when the referee makes the right decision, but he goes about it the wrong way. He does not carry the strength of conviction at that moment. He does not even point to the penalty mark."

Ncobo explained a holding offence occurred only when a player's contact with an opponent's body or equipment impeded movement. He added that included blocking.

"The referee blows the whistle. At no point does he indicate that it is a penalty. I do not know who he is conversing with because it is his call and his call alone. He can't even get the far-side official to help him in that instance. He blows his whistle. He has seen the foul. At no stage does he point to the penalty mark."

'VAR' also mentioned the positioning of the players' arm.

"Is it impeding the player from keeping possession or gaining possession of the ball? Whether or not it causes him to fall is a secondary consideration."

Fadlu Davids erupts interview

To say that Fadlu Davids was angry about the result between his team Maritzburg United and Kaizer Chiefs is an understatement.

The Team of Choice controversially lost 2-3 to the Amakhosi in a DStv Premiership clash at the Harry Gwala Stadium on Saturday night.

The visitors won the game via a controversial penalty that was converted by Keagan Dolly, which will cause discussion for some time.

A furious Davids spat out accusations during a fiery interview on SuperSport, Sports Brief has also reported.
