  • Kaizer Chiefs legend Itumeleng Khune does not know when he is beaten judging by his drive at the Amakhosi
  • Khune has not given up the hope of one day regaining the starting spot in goal at Naturena
  • This came as Arthur Zwane struggles to find his preferred starting shot-stopper, with Khune bottom of the pecking order

The great Itumeleng Khune is not giving up on his Kaizer Chiefs career just yet.

Since the start of the 2021/22 season - last year - Khune has played for the Amakhosi just once, a 2-1 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN 8. Since then, he has become something of a forgotten man.

According to The Citizen, despite calls for him to either leave the club for game time or to hang up his gloves. The publication even reported that there has been an increase in calls among the support base for him to be reinstated by coach Arthur Zwane as Bruce Bvuma and Brandon Petersen fail to impress as the designated number one and two respectively.

“The competition is tough and we have to support the ones who are playing. I will wait for as long as I can, I will keep pushing and I will keep working hard. Bruce is doing well, you have to back him up. Kaizer Chiefs have the best goalkeeping department in the country.
“Like I always say, Gigi Buffon is still going strong, and he is 44. I am only 34, so I still have a long way to go. I’ll continue to support those who are playing. I’ve lost my No.1 spot at Bafana and in order for me to reclaim it back, I have to play at club level.

Fikile Mbalula defends Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezana for "philosophy" pronunciation gaffe

Minister of Transport Fikile Mbalula will not stand for online bullying.

As reported by Sports Brief, the former minister for Sports, Arts and Culture chastised those on social media who mocked Kaizer Chiefs defender Siyabonga Ngezana for pronouncing the word "philosophy" incorrectly during an old post-match interview.

Seemingly, this was petty fans using it to punish him for his recent struggles in the team as it continues to look for consistency.
