In terms of the glamour cubs, Kaizer Chiefs were the biggest winners as they saw off the pesky newcomers Richards Bay FC. Mamelodi Sundowns, the defending champions, continued to look beatable as they dodged defeat against Sekhukhune United.

The most disappointed of the bunch will definitely be Orlando Pirates, which had the chance to rise to the top of the league, placing pressure on their rivals. However, they disappointing once again in front of goals in an uninspired draw against their hoodoo side SuperSport United.
