Bongani Ndulula Sets Sights on DStv Premiership Return, Has Gone From Playing League Football to Indoor Soccer

A veteran of the South African soccer scene, Bongani Ndulula is looking to make a return to the DStv Premiership.

The former Bafana striker last played in South Africa’s top-flight league when he turned out for Chippa United in 2017. He was let go by Chippa United after only six months at the club and has not featured for any sides since.

Ndulula played 99 games in South Africa’s top-flight across all competitions, and has featured for clubs such as Bloemfontein Celtic, Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu, TransferMarkt.com reported.

Since his last appearance in the league, Drogba as he is affectionately known, has vowed to return to the DStv Premiership, KickOff reported.

"I have not retired. Currently, I am playing indoor football in Sandton.

"I am still much involved with football. You know how football is but I am not ready to give up now. I am preparing to make a strong comeback next season. I am ready for any offers as long as I will play football next season."

Ndulula’s passion for football can also be seen in his willingness to give back. The player will visit Kroomdraai Combined School in Witbank next week for soccer clinics. This is part of TUT eMalahleni Sport and Recreation’ community outreach program.

Casares was appointed as a coach of Dynamos in November 1982 but left in February the next year for unknown reasons. He returned to the club for a few weeks in March but then left again, MTNFC confirmed.

Surprisingly, he was appointed as Chiefs coach a few months later, despite not having any real coaching experience. His CV was impressive, but many claimed that much of it were figments of his own imagination.
