Bunino started the match on the bench and while getting ready to be substituted in the 73rd minute, he had the urge to relieve himself.

Despite his attempts to hide the action of urinating, he was seen by the assistant official who beckoned to the referee.

Lecco head coach, Luciano Foschi defended his player claiming it was nature and asked for understanding in handling his case, as reported by Gazzetta.

''It's the rules and they must be applied, but I was hoping that the officials would use common sense because he didn't offend anyone and no one saw it. I was hoping for a yellow card, but the referee didn't make a mistake. And Bunino? In my opinion, he didn't even know what was going to happen,'' he said.

3SC official suspended for urinating

Sports Brief also reported on a 3SC official caught urinating in the centre circle ahead of a Nigerian Professional Football League match in Ibadan.

The photo of the filthy act, which went viral on the internet, was taken ahead of Shooting Stars match against Akwa United, which ended 2-2.

The club was fined and the official was suspended from all football-related activities for one year by the NPFL's League Management Committee.
