What Asamoah said to Gazetta dello Sport via Tuttomercatoweb is translated as follows:

"We arrived at Juventus the same year and we have always had a great feeling, on and off the pitch. Paul and I write to each other on social media from time to time. I'm glad he's back in black and white."
"We are talking about a champion who, when he is well, makes the difference. I am convinced that once again he will give a big hand to the team," he added.

Asamoah and Pogba enjoyed a trophy-laden spell during their time at Juventus, winning the Serie A and Coppa Italia.

The former Ghana international announced his retirement last month after almost two decades of active football.

Meanwhile, Pogba has been ruled out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup due to the injury. He joins N'golo Kante on the sidelines as French stars to miss the tournament.

Kwadwo Asamoah reveals biggest regret

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Kwadwo Asamoah has revealed that not winning the African Cup of Nations remains one of his regrets at the end of an illustrious football career.

The 33-year-old retired from the game after two decades plying his trade in Italy. Asamoah, who won several trophies with Juventus, did not hide his disappointment of not replicating his club success with the Black Stars.

Asamoah was a key figure as Ghana reached the final of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola.
