Pogba was forced to undergo knee surgery in early September after his meniscus injury failed to respond to treatment, according to Goal. Pogba made a stunning return to Turin after six unsuccessful years at Manchester United.

The timeline for the surgery meant the France World Cup winner would miss the tournament, but his return to training gave Juventus, and France fans hope that he would be back on the pitch again, according to the Daily Mail.

Pogba injury setback

According to Football Italia, the 29-year-old has sustained a muscular injury in training, a setback which may rule him out of the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.

Pogba is yet to make a competitive start for Juventus after his return to Turin from Manchester United this past summer.

The midfielder tried conservative therapy after he tore his meniscus in the preseason with Juventus, but it didn't work, leaving him with only one option, surgery.

Italian newspaper claims Pogba has sustained a thigh injury and will have to stay out for another 10 days.

Pogba witchcraft saga

Sports Brief earlier reported on Paul Pogba almost quitting football after the witchcraft saga involving Kylian Mbappe.

Pogba considered quitting football after the damaging witchcraft accusations and subsequent extortion scandal against him.

The ex-Manchester United star was involved in a bitter family feud with his elder brother Mathias Pogba, who is now in custody. His brother, Mathias, claimed Pogba had visited a witch doctor to cast a spell on his French international teammate Kylian Mbappe.
