Juventus are almost set to announce the signing of Paul Pogba ahead of the 2022/23 season after the French midfielder left Manchester United on a free transfer this summer.

Pogba will be re-joining the Serie A giants for a second time after leaving them to sign for the Red Devils for a then world-record fee of £89million back in 2016.

Pogba has been in talks with Juventus for several weeks and it is believed an agreement is said to be close between both parties with the deal to be announced soon Daily Mail reports.

A move back to Italy with Juventus could see the 29-year-old Frenchman earn £64million across a four-year deal.

Pogba enjoyed his most successful spell in club football with the Turin giants as he won 4 Serie A titles between 2012 to 2016 while also reaching the final of the UEFA Champions League.

Frenkie de Jong closes the door on Manchester United

Meanwhile, Manchester United are set to miss out on Netherlands midfielder, Frankie de Jong as the Barcelona player is not ready to leave Spain Marca reports.

The Red Devils have been one of the top clubs to declare their interest in the 25-year-old midfielder but Frankie de Jong has now stated reiterated his intention to stay put at the Blaugrana ahead of the 2022/23 season.

In 2019, the Dutchman moved to Barcelona from Ajax and he has managed to earn a spot in the starting lineup with coach Xavi Hernandez seeing him as an important player.

Pogba is due to leave Old Trafford this summer after the expiry of his contract with the Red Devils.
