The Belgian fell out with the then Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel after he conducted an unauthorised interview where he decried the tactics used at the club.

He was dropped severally by Tuchel before Chelsea's new ownership decided to send him back to Inter Milan. It hasn't been the fairytale return the 29-year-old hoped for.

Lukaku has suffered injuries that have greatly hampered his efforts to be a consistent performer for Simone Inzaghi's side. His fitness concerns have now made Inter Milan rethink their stance on the striker, as Sempre Inter reports.

He is currently out with a thigh injury. Inter Milan have qualified for the round of 16 action after fending off Barcelona with the striker sidelined. He will be looking to make it to the Belgium squad for the World Cup.

Nicolo Barella jokes about Romelu Lukaku's first touch

Sports Brief had earlier reported that Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku was jokingly mocked by Inter Milan teammate who scored a goal in Inter's 3-0 win over Sampdoria on Saturday, October 29th.

Lukaku is finding form after being sidelined for the last few weeks, and it seems jokes about his first touch are still there, with his teammate Nicolò Barella the latest person to bring it up.

Lukaku has been injured for most of this season with a hamstring injury. He has played just 249 minutes in Serie A this season and played just seven minutes in the Champions League.
