How Udinese sunk Inter Milan at the Dacia Arena

Having hammered AS Roma 4-0 in their last outing, Udinese were hoping to keep up with the momentum when they hosted Inter on Sunday.

And Le Zebrette showed no sign of struggle as they staged a comeback to see off their visitors in a thrilling encounter.

Inter broke the deadlock within five minutes of action through Nico Barella before Udinese restored parity in the 22nd minute after Milan Skriniar directed the ball into his net.

Jaka Bijol handed the hosts the lead with six minutes left on the clock before Tolgay Arslan made it 3-1 at stoppage time.

Udinese's epic win sent them to the summit of the Serie A standings with 16 points, two points ahead of second-placed Napoli.

Serie A receives lucrative offer for Supercoppa tournament

Sports Brief earlier reported on Serie A receiving a lucrative offer to host the Supercoppa Final in Saudi Arabia for the next six years under a new format.

In a deal worth €138 million, Serie A winners, runners-up, and the two Coppa Italia finalists will square off in a four-team one-legged semis and finals, with the winner will play Saudi Super Cup winners.

The money is three times more than what Serie A provides for the competition.
