Inter Milan breeze past Spezia in second Serie A clash of the season

Meanwhile, Inter continued their fine start to the 2022/23 season with a 3-0 huge win over Spezia on Saturday, August 20.

Lautaro Martinez, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, and Joaquin Correa were all on target as Simone Inzaghi's men downed Spezia at San Siro.

The Nerazzurri kicked off the new season with a 2-1 win away at Lecce, and are now among just three teams in the Italian top-flight yet to drop points.

However, their biggest test thus far on their title credentials will be on Friday, August 26, when they battle Lazio at Stadio Olimpico.

Gini Wijnaldum receives heroic welcome at Stadio Olimpico after Roma move

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that former Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum was accorded a warm reception at Stadio Olimpico during his official presentation to the fans.

Wijnaldum signed for the Italian giants on a season-long loan, with an option to buy, from Paris St-Germain.

The Dutchman's move to Roma came when he had seen his fortunes dwindle after he joined PSG from Liverpool last summer.
