.He joined Brentford in January 2022, months after being released by Inter Milan.

Following his inclusion in the Denmark squad, Eriksen will now link up with his international teammates in Spain during the international break.

Eriksen’s remarkable journey back to football

When fans witnessed scenes during the game involving Denmark and Finland, not many were optimistic that Eriksen would kick a football again.

But he has since undergone a remarkable recovery, and was fitted with a heart-starting device, and at the time, Danish team doctor Morten Boesen said the move was "necessary due to rhythm disturbances",

Because of regulations around Italian football, Eriksen could not continue with Inter Milan as long as he had a heart-monitoring device implanted.

Despite the blow to his career, Eriksen continued to train alone, and was soon linked with a move to the Premier League.

Eriksen went on to join Brentford on a six-month deal, and made his debut as a substitute in a defeat against Newcastle United on February 26.

He then played a full game back to back in games against Norwich City and Burnley.

Eriksen and Brandon Williams' viral hug

The last time Christian Eriksen was on the news, Sports Brief reported of a viral incident involving the midfielder and Norwich’s Brandon Williams.

Brandon Williams nearly got into a confrontation with Christian Eriksen before realizing the person he was squaring up to on Saturday, March 5.

With 39 minutes on the clock during the clash against Norwich, Eriksen found himself in an awkward situation with Norwich’s Brandon Williams, who is currently on loan from Manchester United.

Williams managed to knock the ball past Eriksen but the Danish international was unwilling to see his opponent break away.
