Versatile Ghanaian footballer, Jeffrey Schlupp has described the relationship between Crystal Palace players and manager Patrick Vieira as that of utmost respect.

According to Schlupp, the legendary status of Patrick Vieira inspires the dressing room and the players are ready to give their best for the former Arsenal midfielder.

In an interview with Premier League Productions, the 29-year-old spilled it all out over the atmosphere at the South London club since Vieira's arrival.

“We saw reports of him being appointed as manager,” Schlupp said. “Obviously everyone knows who Patrick Vieira is. He’s a legend of the game, he’s a Premier League legend.
“It was exciting. Then to meet him face-to-face was a big moment for me personally, and for everyone else. He got his message across straight away, told us about his philosophy and the way he wants to play.
“I think everyone bought into that straight away. Everyone demands respect, but the respect for him was there straight away."

The Eagles are enjoying a decent campaign so far and currently sit 11th on the English Premier League table.

Under the guidance of Vieira, Palace have won four, drawn eight and lost five matches.

Meanwhile, Jeffrey Schlupp has made 12 appearances and scored a goal for Crystal Palace in the ongoing season.

Earlier, SportsBrief.com reported that, Ghanaian duo Jordan Ayew and Jeffrey Schlupp could be working with former Arsenal and France midfielder, Patrick Vieira, who is set to be Crystal Palace's new manager.

The 2000 World Cup winner has reportedly reached an agreement with the South London side and is set to take over this summer.

According to English tabloid, Skysports, Vieira will take over as the next manager replacing Roy Hodgson who retired at the end of last season.
