Ghanaian teenager, Abdul Fatawu Isshaku netted a sensational goal as the Black Meteors earned a 1-1 draw in the Africa U23 Cup of Nations qualifiers on Friday night.

The 19-year-old netted a belter after firing from inside his half to give the Ghana U23 team a deserving lead in Annaba.

However, Algeria left it late after netting an injury time penalty to level the scores ahead of the second-leg in Kumasi on Tuesday.

In a video that has since gone viral on social media, Issahaku collected a pass from Ernest Nuamah and wasted no time after spotting the Algeria goalkeeper off his line.

His club, Sporting Lisbon reacted to the worldie, suggesting it should be a Puskas award contender.

Issahaku and his teammates have arrived in Ghana after the magnificent first leg display in Algeria.

The U23 team are seeking to make a return to the Africa U23 Cup of Nations in Morocco and need an aggregate victory to achieve their goal.

Meanwhile, Ghana is also looking at qualifying for next year's summer Olympics, after last appearing in men's football at Athens 2004.

The Black Meteors will host Algeria on Tuesday in Kumasi.

Isshaku named in Black Meteors squad

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Black Meteors coach, Ibrahim Tanko has named a star-studded side for Ghana's AFCON U23 qualifier against Algeria.

The former Ghana international named a team consisting of eight Europe-based players as the Black Meteors eye qualification for the tournament in Morocco.

The Black Meteors have started preparations in Accra, with FC Basel midfielder Emmanuel Essiam and Sporting Lisbon winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku all reporting to camp.

Issahaku nets worldies against Ajax

Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku scored two stunning goals before wrapping up a hat-trick display in Sporting Lisbon's big win against Ajax in the UEFA Youth League.

The talented winger joined the U19's on Wednesday afternoon for the game against Ajax in Portugal.

The 18-year-old displayed why he is part of the first team after scoring two screamers and a tap in as the Portuguese outfit secured a 5-1 win.
