With a thrilling musical performance, Asamoah Gyan doused the sorrowful atmosphere at Christian Atsu's final funeral rites held at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra, Ghana.

The legendary striker, famous for his efficiency in front of the goal and heartwarming dance celebrations, is also adept at singing.

In honour of the late Christian Atsu, Asamoah Gyan grabbed the microphone and delivered a musical masterclass at the funeral grounds, per Ghanaweb.

Gyan completely diluted the atmosphere with his exhilarating performance, which lasted approximately 40 minutes.

His spirit-filled Gospel songs with his Live Band musical troupe caused mourners to jump onto their feet - dancing to his sensational performance.

While Gyan's performance warmed the hearts of many, the dancing skills of an old couple gained the most attention.

Ex-Ghana star breaks down in tears

In a rather contrasting news, former Fulham and West Ham defender John Paintsil broke down in uncontrollable tears after arriving at the State House for Christian Atsu's funeral.

The ex-Ghana international was teammates with the winger in the national team, where the duo created memories together.

In a video shared on social media, Paintsil is seen shedding tears as he struggles to contain himself at the moment.

Asamoah Gyan attends CAF ceremony

Sports Brief also reported that Asamoah Gyan and Kwadwo Asamoah honoured an invitation from CAF President Patrice Motsepe after attending the Outstanding Achievement Awards in Rwanda.

The former Ghana captain and the ex-Juventus star were among several African football legends at the ceremony in honour of the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame and King Mohammed VI of Morocco.

The duo of Gyan and Asamoah will also attend the 73rd FIFA Congress, along with Ghana Football Association officials Prosper Harrison Addo and Mark Addo.
