The extent of his injury could determine whether he will be available for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next month against Angola.

Ghana will play Angola in a two-legged game.

Paintsil scores on 25th birthday

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana forward, Joseph Paintsil celebrated his 25th birthday with a goal after scoring in KRC Genk's draw on the road against KAS Eupen in the Belgium League.

The winger opened the scoring for the visitors with a cleverly converted strike in the 17th minute.

But the hosts responded 12 minutes later through Stef Peeters, who scored from the spot to see the spoils of the game shared.

Paintsil blasts ex-Ghana coach

KRC Genk winger Joseph Paintsil has blamed former Ghana coach Otto Addo for taking away his World Cup dreams from him.

Paintsil has been in red-hot form for the Belgium league leaders, but the immediate-past Black Stars coach dropped him from the tournament in Qatar.

The 25-year-old was Ghana's best forward in Europe before the final team announcement, having scored six goals and provided six assists in 14 matches.
