Black Stars forward Kwabena Owusu came off the bench to score on his debut for Ferencvarosi as the Hungarian giants fought from a goal down to beat Paksi SE 3-1.

The 25-year-old joined Ferencvarosi on Monday from Azerbaijani side Qarabag FK and was named in the team to face Paksi.

Owusu was introduced in the 65th minute for Lorand Paszka and seven minutes later levelled the scores, after Paksi had taken an early second half lead through Akos Kinyik.

Norwegian forward Kristoffer Zachariassen gave Ferencvarosi the lead with seven minutes remaining before Ryan Mmaee sealed victory from the spot.

Owusu has been in fine form in the 2022/23 season, having scored ten goals for his former club before moving to Hungary.

Owusu delighted with debut goal

The Ghanaian international shared his excitement after scoring his first ever goal for the club.

"We hope for the best," he said.
"It's not be easy. I have never played in cold like this before. It's normal. It's football and anytime I finish warming up, I am ready."
"I am already thinking about Sunday's game and I hope we will win."

Owusu signed a two-and-a-half year deal to join Ferencvarosi in the winter transfer window.

Kwabena Owusu completes Ferencvarosi move

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghanaian forward Kwabena Owusu has completed his move from Qarabag FK to Hungarian side Ferencvarosi in the winter transfer window.

The 25-year-old signed a two-and-a-half-year deal to join Ferencvarosi.

The Hungarian record champions confirmed the arrival of Owusu on their official website.

Leicester City sign Nathan Opoku

Leicester City have completed the signing of Ghanaian forward, Nathan Opoku in the winter transfer window.

The 21-year-old joins the Foxes from FDM Field Masters Sporting Club on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

Opoku was immediately sent away on loan to Belgium outfit, Oud-Hervelee Leuven for the rest of the season.
