Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku terrorized FC Porto defenders after coming on in the second half of the Cup final for Sporting Lisbon against the Portuguese giants.

The 18-year-old, who is enjoying a decent campaign with the Primeira Liga side, produced a glimpse of quality during a one-v-one situation in the match.

Isshaku nutmegged Porto defender Joao Mario, who brought the Ghanaian down after the winger went past him with ease.

Unfortunately, Issahaku and his Sporting Lisbon teammates lost 2-0 as Porto won the Cup.

Isshaku has made eight appearances across all competitions for Sporting Lisbon this season.

The teenager joined the Portuguese outfit last season from Ghanaian second tier side Steadfast FC.

He was a member of the Ghana U20 team that won the Africa U20 Championship in Mauritania in 2021.

He also made a cameo appearance at the World Cup in Qatar, coming on late in the final group game against Uruguay. A game Ghana lost 2-0 and were eliminated from the tournament.

Fatawu Issahaku joins Sporting Lisbon

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghanaian teen sensation, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has officially joined Portuguese giants Sporting CP after leaving Ghana Premier League outfit Dreams FC.

Former Ghana assistant coach Maxwell Konadu has tipped Ghanaian forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku for greatness at Sporting CP.

The player, who recently turned 18, inked a five-year deal with the Primeira Liga side in February as he begins his career in Europe.

The former Dreams FC winger was then presented to the Sporting CP fans at the club’s stadium with thousands showing up to see their new player.
