Former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has congratulated the Black Stars for the gallant victory over South Korea in Group H of the World Cup.

The legendary striker, who currently works as a pundit on South African sports channel SuperSport, seized the moment to produce his famous dance celebration as Ghana collected all three points.

The 37-year-old took to social media to send a congratulatory message to the team in Qatar.

"Great team performance by the Black Stars. But pressure paa nie," he wrote on Twitter.

And in a video that was posted on Twitter, Gyan is seen recreating his dance celebration from the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

The former Sunderland forward failed to make the Black Stars team for the global showpiece, due to being inactive for over a year. He last played for Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities.

Despite his absence, he remains Africa's top scorer at the World Cup, with six goals from three tournaments.

Meanwhile, the four-time African champions will need a win in their final game against Uruguay to progress to the last 16 of the World Cup in Qatar.

On Monday, Mohammed Kudus scored a brace to add to Mohammed Salisu's opener, as Ghana won 3-2 at the Education City Stadium.

Otto Addo consoles heartbroken Heung-min

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Black Stars coach Otto Addo consoled his former player Son Heung-min after Ghana's victory over South Korea.

The Tottenham star was heartbroken and could not contain his tears, as the Asians now sit on the brink of elimination following their defeat.

A brace from Kudus brace helped the West Africans to an emphatic win ahead of the final round of games on Friday.

Kudus earns match player award

Brace-hero Kudus was also awarded the Man of the Match prize, after Ghana's entertaining victory over South Korea in their second Group H game at the World Cup.

The Ajax star scored twice to help the Black Stars to a 3-2 victory in Al Rayyan on Monday afternoon.

The 22-year-old gave Ghana the lead before half time after connecting to a Jordan Ayew cross and smashing home the winner from a Gideon Mensah pass, which was first missed by Inaki Williams.
