In photos shared on social media, the 26-year-old is seen alongside compatriot Abdul-Aziz Yakubu as they recreated the 'nap' celebration.

Ronaldo first performed the peace of mind celebration after netting his first and only Premier League goal of the season, in Manchester United's victory over Everton.

Meanwhile, Boateng's winner is the second in back-to-back home games for Rio Ave.

The Ghanaian forward bundled home after receiving a long pass from Josue Sa in the 64th minute.

Boateng was not included in Ghana's team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, despite scoring four goals in eight matches this season.

He last played for the Black Stars in 2021 in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa.

Zakhele Lepasa joins celebration trend

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Orlando Pirates striker Zakhele Lerato Lepasa has joined the new celebration trend of Cristiano Ronaldo, after his side's MTN8 success.

Lepasa failed to feature for the Bucs despite being named on the bench, as Orlando Pirates secured a 1-0 victory against AmaZulu.

In a photo posted on social media though, the striker recreated Ronaldo's nap celebration as shared his excitement following his team's triumph.

Ademola Lookman copies Ronaldo's celebration

Super Eagles forward Adeloma Lookman copied Cristiano Ronaldo's peace of mind goal celebration, after scoring against Napoli in the Italian Serie A on November 5.

The Nigerian striker was impressive for Atalanta over the weekend, but his goal was unable to save his side from a defeat as they lost 2-1 at home to Napoli.

Ronaldo's new goal celebration style is the one trending now, as many players in Europe have emulated it after scoring.
