President of Ghana's Football Association, Kurt Okraku, has revealed that his outfit have not given up the chase for winger Nico Williams.

However, Mr Okraku is highly optimistic of convincing the winger to play for the Black Stars of Ghana.

“I know he is coming home. Iñaki also played for Spain. We’ll continue talking, he’s one of us.”

Although Williams has played two times for Spain, he remains eligible to play for Ghana until he makes an appearance for the European giants at the World Cup.

His chances of playing for the Black Stars can also end when he makes more than three appearances for Spain.

Luis Enrique seems to have been impressed with the contribution of the 20-year-old during the last international break, having provided the assist for the winner against Portugal in the Nations League.

The younger brother of Inaki Williams is also enjoying a good campaign in La Liga with Athletic Bilbao.
