  • The Serbian trainer was sacked after the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, following Ghana's poor display in Cameroon
  • Rajevac has had two stints with the Black Stars, leading Ghana to its best performance at the World Cup in 2010

Milovan Rajevac is not giving up on a third stint with Ghana's Black Stars after claiming he has unfinished business with the national team.

The Serbian trainer was sacked after supervising Ghana's worst ever performance at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon earlier this year.

Rajevac, who was appointed as Ghana's coach for the second time in November last year, failed to win a single game at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

“I have unfinished business with Black Stars. No one knows what the future holds,” he said on Akoma FM as quoted by Pulse. “Ghana is my second home, so if another opportunity arises for me to come there, I will consider it seriously."
“Last time, I didn’t have enough time to implement everything I wanted, like the first time in Ghana. In order to achieve great targets, time is of the essence.”

Rajevac was first appointed Ghana coach in 2008, leading the West African nation to the final of the Africa Cup of Nations in 2010. A Mohamed Gedo late goal saw Egypt beat Ghana to win their seventh title.

A few months later, Rajevac made history when he led the Black Stars to the quarter-finals of the World Cup.

Ghana FA sack Serbian trainer Milovan Rajevac

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that the Ghana Football Association has sacked Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac, following the country's poor 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

The Serbian trainer leaves four months after replacing C.K. Akonnor as head coach of the national team.

According to reports, the FA would release an official statement to confirm the departure of the coach in January of that year.
