Former Black Stars forward, Yaw Preko, believes Inaki Williams posses the qualities of legendary Ghana forward Asamoah Gyan.

Inaki Williams made his debut for Ghana during the international break, playing the games against Brazil and Nicaragua. However, he is yet to score for Ghana.

Yaw Preko, who made 68 appearances for the Black Stars, sees some similarities between the Spain-born forward and ex-Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan.

“We should make good use of Williams and benefit more from him, he’s like Asamoah Gyan," Preko told Angel TV, as quoted by Pulse.

Asamoah Gyan is revered in Ghana and across the world for his exploits with the Black Stars. He remains Africa's leading scorer at the World Cup.

Meanwhile, Inaki Williams will be hoping to be as prolific as Asamoah Gyan in the national colours. He is expected to make Ghana's team for the World Cup in Qatar.

Inaki Williams scored on his Athletic Bilbao return as they thrashed Almeria in La Liga.

Williams brothers score as Athletic Bilbao thump Almeria

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Inaki Williams and his younger brother Nico Williams registered their names on the score sheet as Athletic Bilbao thumped UD Almeria following the return of La Liga.

The brother were among three Athletic Club players who were on international duty during the break, with Inaki representing Ghana while Nico played for Spain.

Inaki opened the scoring after meeting a cross from Nico Williams to start what will end up as a demolishing of Almeria at the San Memes.

Inaki Williams reveals grandfather's promise before Ghana debut

Inaki Williams has disclosed that his 90-year-old grandfather promised he would die in peace the day he saw him wearing the Black Stars jersey and playing for Ghana.

The Athletic Bilbao forward decided to play for Ghana in June after switching allegiance from Spain, having made one senior cap for the European country.

Inaki made his Ghana debut in the friendly against Brazil before following that up with another appearance against Nicaragua.
