Legendary Ghanaian midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, showed up at the African Nations Championship draw dazzling in his all-black suit.

The former Ghana international, a pioneer of the competition, was invited for the draw in Algeria on Saturday, October 1, 2022.

In photos posted on social media, the 32-year-old looked fresh as he joined other legends to conduct the draw.

Agyemang-Badu, a member of the Ghanaian team that reached the final in the inaugural edition, ensured the smooth running of the draw as he picked Ghana for Group C.

The group also has champions Morocco as well as Sudan and Madagascar. Group C will play their games in Constantine.

There were five Groups with A to C accommodating four teams while D and E housed three countries.

The tournament delayed for a year due to COVID-19, will start on January 13 and end on February 4, 2023.

Ghana drawn in Group C ahead of CHAN 2022

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana's Black Galaxies have been handed a tricky draw at the Africa Nations Championship to be held in Algeria next year.

The Black Galaxies have been paired alongside defending champions Morocco, Sudan and Madagascar.

In the draw held in Algeria on Saturday evening, Ghana will be in Group C and will play their games in Constantine.

Head coach of Ghana's national team, Otto Addo, has declared his team ready for the World Cup in Qatar after the friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua in the international break.

The four-time African champions suffered defeat to Brazil last Friday but recovered to beat Nicaragua on Tuesday evening.

After the two games, Otto Addo reiterated his team's readiness for the global showpiece in November.
