Ghana and Bristol City forward Antoine Semenyo has vowed to show the world what he can do ahead of the Black Stars friendly against Brazil on Friday.

The 22-year-old is making a return to the national team after missing the Kirin Cup tournament in Japan due to injury.

Having made his debut against Madagascar the AFCON qualifier in June, he suffered an injury in training ruling him out for months.

However, the lanky forward has returned and he is on a good scoring run, with four goals in his last six matches.

"It's a healthy competition and everyone is fine for the spot so you know if you get that number one spot, you will wanna keep it," he told the Ghana Football Association Media.
"I just want to show the world stage what I can do, I want to show them I can score, I can link play and run in behind if I need to so like I said I'm ready when I'm called upon."

Antoine Semenyo is expected to start against Brazil as he convinces Otto Addo for a place in the Ghana team for the World Cup in Qatar.

The Black Stars will also play Nicaragua three days after Brazil's friendly in Spain as part of preparations for the World Cup.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Inaki Williams, Tariq Lamptey, Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer, Mohammed Salisu and Stephan Ambrosius have performed the traditional initiation dance following their inclusion to the Black Stars team for the first time.

Apart from Mohammed Salisu, all four switched nationalities to represent the Black Stars of Ghana.

And in videos posted on social media, the five players showed incredible and hilarious dance skills to announce their presence in the team.
