Red-hot Black Stars forward, Antoine Semenyo, made an instant impact after scoring just sixty seconds following his introduction in Bristol City's clash against Blackpool on Saturday.

The 22-year-old was making his first appearance in the English Championship when he came on for Alex Scott in the 63rd minute.

Semenyo scored with his first two touches in the game after making space in the box to fire home for Bristol's second in the six-goal thriller.

Blackpool got off to a great start after Josh Bowler broke the deadlock just seven minutes into the game, but Tommy Conway levelled for Bristol City before the break.

The hosts restored their lead in the second half through Jerry Yates.

Antoine Semenyo levelled for the Robins and an own goal from Marvin Paul Elorm Ekpiteta gave Bristol City the lead.

And with the visitors set for all three points, Theo Corbeanu fired home to ensure the spoils are shared.

Antoine Semenyo scores on injury return for Bristol City

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo made a scoring return following his injury comeback for English Championship side Bristol City.

Semenyo scored Bristol's third goal in the 3-1 victory over Wycombe in the first round of the EFL Cup on Wednesday night.

The Black Stars striker was making his return from injury since June, after picking a knock while on international duty with Ghana.

Antoine Semenyo makes Black Stars debut

Bristol City forward Antoine Semenyo made his debut in Ghana's 3-0 win over Madagascar in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old was introduced in the 75th minute for AS Roma youngster Felix Afena-Gyan who got his debut goal for the Black Stars.

The London-born attacker had little time to show his full potential but was very mobile on the pitch within the few minutes he played.
