Talented Ghanaian teen, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, will be part of Sporting Lisbon's team B for the 2022/23 Portuguese football season.

The 18-year-old has been on pre-season with the senior side, but he is yet to convince Sporting manager Ruben Amorim for regular play time.

According to Joy Sports, the youngster will join the second team ahead of the start of the new season in order to get regular play time.

The former Dreams FC player featured in the pre-season games against AS Roma and Sevilla, missing a decisive penalty in the defeat to the Spanish outfit.

Isshaku is rated highly following his outstanding performances during the Africa U20 Cup of Nations last year in Mauritania.

His explosive displays earned him a senior national team invite, and was a member of the Black Stars at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

He earned a move to Sporting Lisbon in March this year and he is expected to make a breakthrough in the Primeira Liga this season.

Fatawu Issahaku travels with Sporting's first team for pre-season

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghanaian teen sensation, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, has joined the first team of Sporting Lisbon for pre-season ahead of the new campaign.

The talented winger travelled with the team to the Algarve, the southern part of Portugal, to continue preparations ahead of the 2022/23 season.

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has impressed Sporting Lisbon manager Ruben Amorim, who is set to give the Ghanaian youngster a chance in the upcoming season.

Former Ghana assistant coach Maxwell Konadu has tipped Ghanaian forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku for greatness at Sporting CP.

The player, who recently turned 18, inked a five-year deal with the Primeira Liga side in February as he begins his career in Europe.

The former Dreams FC winger was then presented to the Sporting CP fans at the club’s stadium with thousands showing up to see their new player.
