Ghana's first-choice goalkeeper, Joseph 'Jojo' Wollacott, has expressed delight in joining English League One side Charlton Athletic.
The 25-year-old signed a three -year deal to join the Red Robbins from English League Two outfit Swindon Town FC.
Jojo Wollacott, who was the best goalkeeper in League Two last season, stated his satisfaction signing the contract.
"I’m delighted. It’s the sort of club that you always want to be at. You always have the ambition to play for such a high-profile club. Obviously walking around the stadium you can feel the magnitude of the club. I’m really happy to be here," Wollacott told the club's official website.

“Ben being here made it an easy decision. We had a really good season last year. Obviously I know how he wants to play and I know how he wants his goalkeeper to play. I feel like, for the next step in my career, he can really develop my game," he added.
He reunites with former manager Ben Garner, who is coach of Charlton Athletic. Garner is happy to have Wollaott in his team ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
"It’s another strong signing for us. Obviously Jojo is a player that I know very well having worked with him last season. I think he is a player with huge potential moving forwards as well and, again, he fits the character and the type of person that we want to bring into the football club," he said.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Jojo Wollacot has been named in the 2021-22 League Two Team of the season following his excellent performances this campaign.
Having joined Swindon Town from Championship club Bristol City last year, Wollacott has been in sensational form between the sticks since becoming a Robin.
The 25-year-old has kept 11 clean sheets in 37 appearances so far in the league for his team.
