Some players of Ghana's Black Stars team have arrived in camp ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next week.

The players led by captain Andre Ayew reported to camp on Saturday ahead of the team's first training session.

In photos posted on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, Andre Ayew, his brother Jordan Ayew as well as veteran midfielder Mubarak Wakaso have all touched down.

Europa Conference League winner Felix Afena-Gyan has also returned to the country and will join his teammates today.

The Black Stars will immediately begin preparations for the two matches this afternoon in Accra before leaving for Cape Coast.

Ghana will play Madagascar in Cape Coast on June 5th before travelling for the second game against Central African Republic.

Coach Otto Addo has named a 33-man squad for the qualifiers.

Afena-Gyan has arrived for Ghana AFCON qualifiers

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that fresh off winning the Europa Conference League with AS Roma, Felix Afena-Gyan has arrived in Ghana ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next week.

The 19-year-old joins his Black Stars teammates for early preparations ahead of the games against Madagascar and the Central African Republic in June.

In photos posted on social media, the player is seen beaming with smiles as he arrived for the international assignment.

Alfred Duncan has quit international football

Fiorentina midfielder Joseph Alfred Duncan has announced his international retirement at the age of 29.

The former Inter Milan Academy graduate explained in a heartbreaking letter that he has been discriminated against and treated unfairly by the Ghana Football Association.

In a letter posted on the official website of Fiorentina, Alfred Duncan said his goodbyes to the Black Stars.
