"Swindon’s goalkeeper has enjoyed an outstanding campaign, especially during the first few months of the season. Having conceded a respectable 45 goals in 38 games, Wollacott has regularly offered his attacking teammates the opportunity to go and win games with excellent saves and an assured presence between the sticks," wrote the club.

"His 11 clean sheets have also come during a campaign in which he has been called up for his country, Ghana, and helped the Black Stars qualify for the World Cup in Qatar. Town will be keen to tie him down to a new contract with his deal running out in the summer."

Ghana goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott provides assist in Swindon game

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana and Swindon Town goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott recorded an assist for his side as the Robins defeated Sutton 2-1 at the County Ground on Tuesday night.

Goals from English forward Josh Davison and Harry McKirdy rendered Joe Kizzi's first-half strike a consolation as the Robins recorded their third win in the last five games.

After enduring a 3-1 humbling at the hands of Exeter, Swindon returned to winning ways after posting a one-nil win over Oldham.

Jojo Wollacot delighted with World Cup qualification

Swindon Town shot-stopper Jojo Wollacott reckons Ghana's qualification to the 2022 FIFA World Cup is the best feeling he has experienced in his career.

Wollacott, who had come under a lot of backlash following his below-par display at the 2021 AFCON, was instrumental for the Black Stars as they made a return to the global showpiece.

The 25-year-old put up a commanding display in between the sticks for Ghana in the first leg, where he made one crucial save with his feet to deny Moses Simon as the Black Stars recorded a goalless draw at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
