This means Frankfurt have knocked out Xavi Hernandez's side on a 4-3 aggregate after they drew 1-1 in Germany a week ago, thanks to a goal by Knauff.

Reports suggest Knauff has held talks with interim Black Stars coach Otto Addo over a possible switch of nationality to represent Ghana.

Born to a Ghanaian father and German mother, the 20-year-old though remains eligible for Ghana because he has not been capped by Germany's senior team

Meanwhile, the on-loan Dortmund winger has featured for Germany's U-21 team against Latvia and Israel.

How Frankurt stunned Barcelona in Camp Nou

Filip Kostić opened the scoring from the spot to give Eintracht Frankfurt the lead in the fourth minute. The away side doubled their lead following a thunderous strike from Rafael Borré in the 36th minute to give Eintracht Frankfurt a shock two goal.

In the 67th minute, Kostić would unleash a shot past Ter Stegen for his second of the game and put Eintracht Frankfurt three goals up.

Barcelona would pull one back through captain Sergio Busquets in the 90th minute to create a tense additional time.

Memphis Depay scored a penalty late in but it was not enough as Eintracht Frankfurt held on for the win.

Frankfurt Goalie Kevin Trapp Shares Romantic Moment With Sweetheart

Sports Brief earlier reported that German goalkeeper Kevin Trapp put up a splendid performance for Eintracht Frankfurt as the Bundesliga outfit stunned FC Barcelona at the dreaded Camp Nou.

But the most iconic moment for Trapp was when he took time off the celebratory mood to share a romantic moment with his lover.

In a post on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, Kevin Trapp was captured sharing a kiss with Izabel Goulart, who is a Brazilian fashion model, at the end of his side's huge coup at the Camp Nou.
