Sporting Lisbon are convinced that new signing Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is destined to become one of the best players in the world.

The Portuguese giants have inserted a €60 million release clause on their promising young forward to ward off any potential future suitors.

The former Dreams FC winger completed a five-year contract with the Portuguese giants as he begins his career in Europe.

The 18-year-old shot to prominence after winning the best player at the Africa U20 Cup of Nations in Mauritania last year.

And to make their intention to keep the Ghanaian international in the long-term plan, Sporting have slapped a minimum release clause of €60 million in his contract.

Issahaku is regarded as one of the most highly rated young players in Africa and his capture was something of a coup for Sporting Lisbon.

Liverpool have been keeping an eye on his progress of the player since January 2022's Africa Cup of Nations.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghanaian teen sensation, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has officially joined Portuguese giants Sporting CP after leaving Ghana Premier League outfit Dreams FC.

The player, who turned 18 last month, inked a five-year-deal with the Primeira Liga side as he begins his career in Europe.

The club confirmed the capture of the Ghanaian youngster on their official Twitter handle on Wednesday, April 5, 2022.

Fatawu Issahaku leaves Ghana for Portugal to join Sporting Lisbon

Ghanaian teen sensation, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is on his way to Portugal to join Sporting Lisbon after leaving Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC.

The 17-year-old joined the Portuguese giants U23 before he moves to the senior side next month, when he turns 18.

Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has been on the radar of several European club but finally decides to join Sporting, who are reported to have offered him a three-year deal.
