President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, is confident the Black Stars will emerge victorious in the forthcoming World Cup play-offs against Nigeria.
The first instalment of the all-important tie between the two West African neighbours will be staged at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday, March 25, with the reverse encounter staged at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium on Tuesday, March 29.
Both countries have moved to camp with almost a full house of players being put through their paces ahead of the encounter.
Sharing his opinion as Ghana and Nigeria renew hostilities, the GFA President Kurt Okraku, who doubles as the president of the West African Football Union (WAFU) expressed his confidence in a win for his nation.
"The waiting period is over, it is that time of the year when every Ghanaian will have to stand up and be counted." He stated.
"It is that time of the year where our country's pride is at stake. It is that time of the year where our proud warriors will once again step forward to be counted."
"It is that time of the year where Ghana must be at the Mundial but before we do that we have a common foe [the Super Eagles of Nigeria]. They [Nigeria] come across as our little babies but they pretend to be the big boys." Kurt Okraku concluded.

FootballEarlier, Sports Brief reported that the senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars, held their first training session in Kumasi ahead of their gigantic World Cup play-off against Nigeria.
The team led by coach Otto Addo arrived in Kumasi on Tuesday afternoon and wasted no time training a few hours later as preparations continue for the big game.
In photos posted on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, the players took to Baba Yara Stadium for the first time in five years, with their last appearance at the stadium coming against Congo on September 1, 2017.
