Sulley Muntari scores maiden Hearts goal

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana international Sulley Ali Muntari has opened his goalscoring account for Accra Hearts of Oak.

The 37-year-old midfielder scored from the penalty spot as the reigning Ghana Premier League champions squared off against West Africa Football Academy in an outstanding league game.

Muntari netted from the penalty spot as the capital-based outfit held on to secure a much-needed 2-1 victory over WAFA at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Charles Taylor insists Sulley Muntari is not Black Stars material

Charles Taylor, a former Black Stars midfielder and pundit, says calls for Sulley Muntari to be invited to the national team for the game against Nigeria is not right.

According to Charles Taylor, his former Ghana teammate is no more a Black Stars material and should rather focus on regaining his fitness.

Muntari has been on the lips of many Ghanaians following his outstanding display in Hearts of Oak in their President Cup triumph over Kotoko.
