Ghanaian youngster, Mohammed Kudus, has finally spoken after a tug-of-war between his club and the Black Stars saw him miss the Africa Cup of Nations.

Kudus, an important member of the Black Stars, had to miss the tournament in Cameroon due to the lack of match fitness, according to Ajax.

While he missed the AFCON despite training with Ajax, there were reports he was avoiding the team over purported allegations of the use of black magic.

However, the Ajax player has taken to social media to distant himself from all those reports and adds he always has Ghana at hear.

"On my path to recovery, It’s very disheartening with all the aspersions and allegations with inaccurate comments about my national team mates citing me from various media and blogging handles. It’s highly unfortunate but all these comments are direct opposite of what I stand for," he wrote.
"I will like to use this medium to distant my self from all unfounded comments & information citing me. I humbly call on Ghanaians to please disregard & treat it with all the contempt it’s deserves.
"As part of the official squad, I am to blame as my team mates. But I believe in Ghana, Ghana runs through my veins. We are with immersed in talent and with or without me BlackStars will come back stronger & shine again."

Mohammed Kudus is yet to play a competitive game since the injury he picked in the game against South Africa on November 14, 2021.

Ajax manager reveals Kudus won't be available for AFCON

Earlier, SportsBrief.com reported that, Ghana midfielder, Mohammed Kudus could be out for possible the rest of the season after picking up an injury in the game against South Africa, according to his manager Erik Ten Haag.

The 21-year-old walked off the field after just ten minutes of the match between the Black Stars and the Bafana in the World Cup qualifier.

In a post match interview, after Ajax's 5-0 thrashing of RKC Waalwijk, Ten Haag told reports the injury of Kudus is a serious one.
